SunHwakim has been active in tow sports for many years. Beginning as a wakeboarder, her husband recommended she try wake surfing as the sport began toga momentum in Korea. SunHwakim enjoyed the sport and found it to come naturally to her. In 2016, she entered her first organized wake surf competition in Korea and took first place… gaining even more confidence and sparking the passion for wake surfing.

In 2017, SunHwakim started participating in International Competitions after registering as a CWSA member. Starting as an amateur, she participated diligently in various International Competitions and as a result of hard work and experience, she has grown into the pro ranks.

SunHwakim has found wake surfing has changed her life - offering her family time together sharing the sport and making fond memories she will cherish. She remains grateful to her family who always believes in her and supports her at all her comps.
